The Estate of Dalia Zikas (1947–2025): A Life of Resilience and Refined Connoisseurship

January 24th, Saturday

Starting at 10 AM

The Estate of Dalia Zikas reflects a life defined by resilience, cultural depth, and quiet connoisseurship. Dalia's journey began in a post-WWII German displaced persons camp. She then emigrated to Chicago, settled in Melrose, Massachusetts with her husband, Stasys Zikas, and built a distinguished career as a consultant for the Office of Personnel Management at Hanscomb Air Force Base.

Her methodical intellect translated into a highly personal collecting philosophy: an "instinctive appreciation for artists who were lesser known or underrecognized." This independent eye, unburdened by market trends, shaped her assemblage into a true reflection of her genuine curiosity.

Inspired by classic American writers like Emerson and Longfellow, the collection is anchored by Americana and Folk Art, Maritime and Nautical Works, along with Portraiture.

In its entirety, the Estate of Dalia Zikas offers captivating objects chosen with integrity and profound respect for the stories they hold, paying tribute to a life defined by cultural heritage and the pursuit of beauty.

Preview: Monday-Saturday, January 19th-24th, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Auction to be held at the Kaminski Gallery, 117 Elliott St., Beverly, Massachusetts.
